About the event
Join our growing movement of Changemakers, and add your voice to what's next!
Led by a fantastic collective of five local community organisations: Transition Dundee, The Maxwell Centre, ScrapAntics, Uppertunity and Creative Dundee – Dundee’s Changemakers Hub is hosting a Visioning Event to collectively design an action plan for the Hub's ambitious programme of networking events, skill-sharing workshops, practical support and microgrants, to connect and amplify collective community action.
We are all Changemakers! Whether you're part of an organisation that leads climate action and social justice practice taking place already, or an individual who's passionate and an active community member – we'd love to see you there!
This will be a great opportunity to hear more about the Dundee’s Changemakers Hub, how to get involved and create together a 'joined vision' to ensure that Dundee’s communities are leading the charge for change on climate related issues – how do we better connect and scale-up the great work we’re all already doing, to benefit even more communities.
Don’t worry if you’re not able to attend this event, there will be other ways to share your insights and aspirations for the direction of the Hub, and to connect with others – sign-in to our newsletter to add your voice and stay in the loop with Dundee's Changemakers Hub.
What to expect:
Door open at 9.45am.
Grab a warm cuppa, see who’s there, and settle in the space.
10am - 11am:
Hear from the Hub’s core partners who will share more about the fabric of the Hub and its programme of networking events, skills development workshops, pilot projects and practical support. Also include time to ask questions and share more about your work - what knowledge, skills and connections would you need to develop your community work/reach?
11am - 11.30am:
Coffee break and informal opportunity to connect with others.
11.30am - 12.30pm:
We’ll then have small group discussions around various relevant topics, opportunities or issues raised at previous events within Dundee's communities. In these short chats, everyone is welcome and encouraged to share and listen to one another’s experiences and perspectives.
We'll capture the chats and emerging themes, to inform the direction and priorities for the Hub in the coming months, as well as develop practical opportunities, resources and support that will be made available to our growing network of Changemakers.
12.30pm - 1.30pm:
Free lunch. Stay longer for some food and more chats.
