About the event
Hello, Changemakers!
We believe that change-making works best when communities are well-connected and trust each other.
In this community gathering we will be lightly facilitating activities to bring our network closer together and to spark small meaningful actions for you which can bridge the distances between communities in the network.
This is an informal event, with mocktails and nibbles and a walk in the fresh air to foster a relaxed mood to the event.
Please bring comfortable shoes as we’ll be doing some walking around Dudhope Park. We also have an indoor space booked in Dudhope Castle, so never fear - if the skies open we'll be grand!
During the evening attendees will be invited to connect with people with similar areas of interest, and don’t already have a strong personal or professional relationship with, and be guided through a gentle process which aims to foster a deeper connection. We will be using a method called a Dialogue Walk, which invites participants to share a little bit about themselves and what motivated them to be involved in community, climate change, or social justice actions.
From there we will build on the experience of the walks to spark small, purposeful actions that you can take away to bridge your closeness in the network of changemakers. We will take note of these actions to continue to support the development of our network of changemakers.
A great opportunity for networking, time to reflect and to get better at collaborative community work.
Looking forward to seeing you!
